Barre Concept is a fun, energetic workout incorporating the precision of Pilates, the technique inspired by Ballet and the endurance of sports conditioning regime.

Barre Concept combines traditional isometric barre work with movements in a full range of motion.

This workout produces dramatic results that sculpt and redefine the entire body. Small isometric contractions are performed and integrated with an interval training approach that burns fat and improves cardiovascular fitness.

When you train at the barre you have a sense of centre and balance that allows you to concentrate on the muscle group you are working on.

Expect a form focused, intense total body workout with an emphasis on toning the thighs, glutes, and hamstrings. This class is designed to make you sweat! This class can be modified for any fitness level.

I am a beginner, can I join?
This class is perfect for beginners. You can work at your own pace while you perfect your form and technique.

Do I need dance experience to join?
No dance experience is required. You will not be required to perform routines. Your instructor will lead you through simple movements and ensure you are exercising in the correct way to get the most benefit from this class.

Do I need to be flexible to join Barre Concept classes?
No, you do not need to be flexible to join Barre Concept. All of the exercises are focused on strengthening and toning the body. No splits required! Basic cool down stretches will take place at the end of the class for injury prevention and balance.

I only want to do Barre Concept, can I join the studio?
Yes, we have flexible membership options. You can join only for Barre Concept, or pick and choose which classes you would like to attend on a daily basis.

What do I wear and what do I bring for Barre Concept?
Bring a bottle of water and a towel. Wear gym clothing and ballet shoes, or Pilates socks with grip on the soles or go barefoot Please bring your own mat should you prefer not to use the studio’s mats.
