Tracey Simmonds is the owner of The Pole Studio SA. Winner of Pole Championship Series Africa 2016, IPC 2012 First Runner Up in Pole Fitness, Pole Art 2012 Finalist. She created and launched the first accredited pole dance instructor training programme in South Africa, and also delivers the same programme for the original 'The Pole Studio' in the UK with Sarah Brown.

I started pole dancing at The Pole Studio South Africa in 2011. I was encouraged by my sister to “just come and try one class”. One class was enough to get me hooked! Since then I have been trained by Tracey Simmonds and fellow instructors, Karin Nicklin and Carmi Kruger. This ongoing privilege has inspired me and I became an accredited Pole instructor at the Pole Studio SA in 2013.

Juliet has been dancing since the age of 8 and is trained in the following disciplines: Tap, modern, classical and demi character ballet under the instruction of the Marilyn and Monique Gush Dancing studio. Juliet has been enjoying pole fitness since 2011 and has achieved great satisfaction from it. She has improved both her fitness and strength levels by taking part in this sport. Juliet is both a motivating and disciplined Pole Fitness instructor.

I am an accredited Pole Fitness Instructor at the Pole Studio South Africa. I have been training at the Pole Studio South Africa since 2010. In both 2012 and 2013 I competed in the Pole Fitness Association of South Africa Competition where I achieved bronze medals (3rd place) in the Silver Division. I have completed my two-year Diploma in Exercise Science at The Health and Fitness Professionals Academy which is an internationally accredited institution.

I began ballet classes at four and have been in love with dance ever since. I believe the art of movement is such a beautiful and natural form of expression. I studied ballet at Pro Arte, Pretoria from 1991 – 1995 finishing at intermediate level RAD. I began my training at Xtreme Pole Fitness in April 2011 and moved over to The Pole Studio at the beginning of 2012. I completed my instructor’s course under The Pole Studio South Africa in January 2012 where I am currently working.

I started dancing from from the age of 6 and have since never skipped a day of dancing since. I have done many forms of dancing including tap, Spanish, ballet and modern under Melody Ralph Alert and the Montana Spanish dance theatre.
I studied Sport and Exercise technology and obtained my Masters Degree under Prof BS Shaw at the Tshwane University of technology. My love for pole fitness lead me to do my Pole Teachers Level 1 and 2, Level 3 and Advanced Level under Tracey Simmonds at The Pole Studio South Africa.

My first pole dancing class was at the Pole Studio South Africa in 2014 and I haven’t stopped since. Subsequently, under the guidance and instruction of Tracey Simmonds, I have become an accredited instructor at the Pole Studio and have competed in the National Pole Sports Competition 2016, placing 2nd in my category. I was also privileged to be able to participate in Pole Unity 2015 taking part in an exciting group routine choreographed by Nadine Vermaak and Ingrid Lubbe.
